Geokinetic

Requirements: Mage 1, [I] 10+

You can manipulate the power of earth.

Level 1. You gain the following spell:

Stoneskin: (MP cost 1-5, 2 TS) Target a willing creature within 6 units (must have line of sight) or yourself. The target becomes a statue until the end of the round. The target loses all unspent and saved TS and gains DR equal to 3 times the MP you spent on this spell until the end of the round. The creature is petrified until this effect ends.

Level 2. Whenever you petrify a target you may have that target gain 1d4 DR until the effect petrifying it ends.

Level 3. You gain the following spell:

Terraburst: (MP cost 3, 2 TS) Each other creature within 2 units of you must make a defense roll (Your [I] or higher to succeed) or take 2d6 damage. Creatures that take damage from this spell must make an additional defense roll (Your [I]-2 or higher to succeed) or lose all unspent or saved TS and gain 1d6 DR, they lose this DR at a rate of 1 per round. Creatures with DR from this spell do not gain TS at the start of a round and are petrified.

Ascendant Geokinetic

Ascendancy Requirements: Mage 3, Geokinetic 3

You have mastered the use of earth magic beyond that of any normal mage.

Level 4. Whenever you grant a creature DR with a spell, you may give that creature an additional 2 DR.

Level 5. Creatures you petrify with a spell may choose to remain petrified when the effect would end. They retain the DR gained and do not regain TS at the beginning of the round. Whenever a creature does this, that creature gains 2 DR, which is treated as DR gained from the spell that caused the creature to be petrified.

Level 6. You gain the following spell:

Medusa's Gaze: (MP cost 6, 3TS) Target creature must make a [U] roll (your [I] or higher to succeed) or be afflicted by this spell. If an afflicted creature fails their roll by 5 or more, they become an inanimate statue, instantly killing them and giving them the cursed condition. An afflicted creature that is not killed outright gains the cursed condition and loses 1 TS at beginning of the next round after TS is regained, 2 TS the round after that, 3 TS the round after that, and continuing with this pattern. If this TS loss reduces the creature's TS to 0, the creature becomes an inanimate statue, instantly killing them. If the cursed condition is removed from the afflicted creature, they are no-longer afflicted by the spell and stop losing TS from it. If a creature dies while afflicted by this spell, their body turns to stone and the cursed condition remains.

Petrified: (status condition) Petrified creatures cannot make defense rolls, the defense for a petrified creature is automatically 10.

Spells: (rule) A spell is an action you can take on a turn. Spells cost the listed amount of MP and TS to cast unless modified.

Cursed: (debuff) The creature effected cannot regain hit points from spells. This effect counts as a disease and can be removed by spells, items, and abilities that remove diseases.
