You can create mechanical marvels that to aid you in and out of combat.
Level 1. You gain the following crafting recipes:
Machine Core: (Inventor's Bench) Crafting (Inventions). 1 hour. Cost: pure metal x1, manastone x1, leather strap x1.
Guardian: (Inventor's Bench) Crafting (Invention). 12 hours. Cost: machine core x1, pure metal x7, leather strap x6, bowstring x4, metal chains x2.
Guardian: A guardian can be activated or deactivated for 3 TS by its creator within 1 unit. When activated, a guardian becomes a creature with the guardian stat block until deactivated. A guardian follows verbal (or telepathic) commands from its creator, and can deactivate itself for 1 TS if ordered to do so. Collapses into a small container when deactivated so it can be carried. At Machinist level 1, your guardian has 15 HP, is 1x1 in size, has 2 DR, and has 3 modification points. If a guardian loses HP, it cannot regenerate on its own, it must be repaired. Repairing a guardian costs pure metal x1 and leather strap x1 and takes 1 hour. If a guardian is reduced to 0 HP, it stops functioning and can be revived to 1 HP by repairing it with a machine core, which takes 1 hour.
Level 2. At Machinist level 2, your guardian has 30 HP, is 2x2 in size, has 3 DR, and has 5 modification points. You gain the following crafting recipe:
Prosthetic Limb: (Inventor's Bench) Crafting (Invention). 12 hours. Cost: machine core x1, pure metal x2, leather strap x3, bowstring x1. (Repair: leather strap x1)
Prosthetic Limb: A prosthetic limb can replace any lost limb and functions as the replaced limb. Prosthetic limbs have 7 DR and 20 HP, and they cannot be forced to drop weapons unless reduced to 0 HP. A prosthetic limb can be repaired if reduced to 0 HP for the listed repair cost.
Level 3. At Machinist level 2, your guardian has 45, is 3x3 in size, has 5 DR, and has 8 modification points. Your guardian also gain access to greater modifications.
