Shapemerger

Requirements: Summoner 2, one of Golemancer 2 or Bladecaller 2

Can can merge with the form of your familiar.

Level 1. You gain the following spell:

Merge: (MP cost 2, 3 TS) You and your familiar merge bodies, leaving behind only your familiar. Your body disappears, but you may still control your familiar. Your familiar effectively has the same boons that you do while this spell lasts, and can cast spells. Your familiar cannot have a familiar of its own. Spells are cast as though you are the caster, so a Warp Bolt spell can teleport your familiar. Spells your familiar cast spend your MP. You may speak through your familiar while this spell lasts. This spell lasts until your familiar finishes a 5-hour rest. When the spell ends, your body reappears within 1 unit of your familiar. If your familiar dies before the spell ends, the spell ends and you take 2d4 damage as you reappear.

Level 2. You gain the following spell:

Aspect of Familiar: (MP cost 3, 4 TS) You absorb your familiar and take on some of its physical traits. You must have a familiar active to cast this spell. Your familiar disappears when you cast this spell, but it is still your familiar, you cannot summon another. It reappears when the spell ends. Regardless of what kind of familiar you have active, this spell lasts until you finish a 5-hour rest. The effects of this spell differ depending on what kind of familiar you have active:

Level 3. Your Summoner levels count as Shapemerger levels for the sake of this boon's features.

Spells: (rule) A spell is an action you can take on a turn. Spells cost the listed amount of MP and TS to cast unless modified.

The familiar summoning rule: (rule) A creature can only have 1 familiar. If a creature gains another familiar, it must choose to dismiss one of them, instantly destroying it.

Allies: (terminology) An ally or allied creature is determined by the creature in question when the ability in question is used. A creature is its own ally unless stated otherwise.

Flight: (movement) A creature with flight can move vertically by spending TS as though it was moving normally. For a more realistic game, creatures may require more space to take off or have to spend more TS to move up. A creature with flight does not fall.
